This is actually two photos of the same bird in flight, stitched together digitally. I don’t usually use a tripod when photographing birds, with my 800mm prime lens, I can’t photograph this bird this close without panning (moving). Stoke about how this photo came out. I’ve found myself pondering many metaphors represented by the upward and downward stroke, for example, with this on my wall.
